Deep research prompts: template and examples
How to set context, constraints, and quality criteria to get research without fluff.
1) Define the task and output
Specify topic, audience, goal, and output format (table, hypotheses, experiment plan).
Ask the model to list assumptions and uncertainties.
2) Copy-ready template
Role: you are a market analyst.
Goal: produce a review of X for Y with conclusions and risks.
Constraints: do not invent facts; flag missing data.
- Structure: 5–7 sections.
- Add a 'what to verify next' list.
3) Quality checks
Add criteria: completeness, accuracy, practicality, clarity.
Ask for self-review: logical gaps and contradictions.
